De wereldwijd aangenomen ANSI/TIA-942 Telecommunicatie-infrastructuurstandaard voor datacenters specificeert de minimumvereisten voor datacenters en omvat alle fysieke infrastructuur, inclusief maar niet beperkt tot locatielocatie, bouwkundig, elektrisch, mechanisch, brandveiligheid, telecommunicatie, beveiliging en andere vereisten.
